A seventy five-man delegation led by the Minister of Sport, Mr. Paul Kamara left the shores of Sierra Leone today, 3rd September 2015 to participate in the All African Games taking place in Cong Brazzaville, the birth place of the games.
The delegation is made of athletes, coaches and officials of twelve (12) sporting disciplines. Sierra Leone has not been taking part in the games since the country last took part in 1992 due to the country’s financial obligation to the organizers.
With the constant persuasion of the Sport Minister, Paul Kamara and his deputy, Al –Sankoh Conteh, they have been able to convince HE President Ernest Bai Koroma to approve the payment of the huge debt the country owed the organizers.
With this payment Sierra Leone has once again been admitted into the All African Games.
