WURROH JALLOH, MOMOH KONTE GRAB APC CHAIRMANSHIP

Karene and Koinadugu Districts have respectively elected innovative individuals/politicians as new APC District Chairmen.

Worroh Jalloh, Sierra Leone Maritime Administration (SLMA) boss, had a sweep up win of 21 over competitors Hon. Raymond Kargbo 7 and Mohamed Daffae 8, in a total of 36 votes for the position of APC Chairman in Karena District.

Being a politician, Wurroh restrained Hon. Raymond Kargbo from becoming the APC Karene District Chairman shortly after voters’ careful assessment of persons aspiring for such a position.

Wurroh’s unflinching win came following claims that Hon. Raymond, who has been a Member of Parliament representing greater portion of the newly established District, failed both his subjects and his Kamakwie Chiefdom people over the years.

Also, Momoh Kemoh Konte, who won the Koinadugu District APC Chairman position unopposed, is believed to be a likeable son of Koinadugu who has had untiring moments helping the needy poor in that part of the country.

As Chairman National Telecommunications Commission, Konte, over the years, innovatively has brought flesh in the telecommunications industry in Sierra Leone.

He is the first of a NATCOM boss to have compelled telecommunication companies kick off discussions with the consumers ahead of any planned tariff increment.

That as recent as March 2017 Konte/NATCOM mediated a dialogue conference on tariff increment at the Bintumani hotel following requests by mobile companies for such.

Although the Bintumani dialogue conference saw number of civil society organizations, the media and, of course, consumers questioning reasons for mobile tariff increment from Le450 to Le650, others commended Konte and NATCOM for allowing mobile companies and the public sit together to discuss tariff rise as opposed to preceding NATCOM administrations.

Konte has caused the ongoing construction of a contemporary nine storey NATCOM building at Hill Top Hill Station, with a parking lot and well equipped facilities.

However, the newly elected APC District Chairmen, Wurroh and Konte respectively conveyed their heartfelt appreciations to the delegates for granting them the opportunities to act as District Chairmen in both Karene and Koinaadugu Districts.

They also thanked their supporters and campaign teams for working tirelessly in ensuring victory for them.
In his words, Wurroh said, “I am honoured and humbled that you have placed your trust in me to lead the APC in Karene.”

“It has been encouraging meeting many people during my campaign travels. I met not only new residents in Karene but new and long time residents of the district too. I know I will find many new friends in the new district.”

“My special appreciation is to president Koroma for providing me such an admirable leadership to our country and the APC party in particular.”

Hello, just wanted to share with you that we had a great time at Marina de Bolnuevo in June of this year. We flew into San Javier and hired a car from the airport for the short drive to Bolnuevo. The beaches are perfect, most of them awarded the Blue Flag. The restaurents were great, with paella on the beach a must and managed a day on the nudist beach there. Very liberating. We also visited the Big Guns, The Roman Mines and the Sand sculptures. Will be returning there again next year. Thanks for reading Niall.

Hi, just wanted to share with you that we had a great holiday at Marina de Bolnuevo in June of this year (http://www.marinadebolnuevo.co.uk/about-bolnuevo). We flew into Alicante and hired a car from the airport for the short drive to Bolnuevo. The beaches are clean, most of them awarded the Blue Flag. The bars were great, with paella on the beach a must and managed a day on the nudist beach there. Very liberating. We also visited the Big Guns, The Roman Mines and the Sand sculptures. Will be returning there again next year. Look forward to catching up with you at Marina de Bolnuevo in the next few months. Thanks for reading Niall.
