After a very long political leave of absence from the public scene, Sierra Leone’s selected vice president, Victor Boackarie Foh has reappeared in the southern district headquarter town of Bo.
Foh, according to ruling party sources, was very much angry when he was refused the presidential flagbearer of his party and since his return from the party’s convention in Makeni, has not hid his feelings about the way and manner he was treated by the leadership of the APC.
It is believed that Foh had earlier warned all his staff in his office not to talk about politics anymore while at the same time decided to pack out of the vice president’s lodge to his personal residence at Hill Station.
The man dubbed “High Barb” has reappeared from a long sabbatical leave from politics in his home town of Bo, where he joined the campaign trail of the ruling party that saw thousands of supporters coming out the streets to show their loyalty to the APC.
Many also believe that some people may have pacified the disgruntled veteran politician to join the campaign so that he will garner supports in that parts of the country, but others say even if the party may have given money to the people in Bo to have them come out in their numbers, the party’s supports will definitely have to decrease in that part of the country come March 7.
