As part of his drive in setting up his new government, President Bio Monday 29 drops new bombshell by firing heads of parastatals and agencies, replacing them with new appointees.
The state house press release was the latest of number of releases on appointments.
It also saw the first pronouncement of Bio’s sacking of an appointee of his- Dennis Vandi, former secretary to president- replaced by Dr. Julius Fofanah Sandi with one John Sumailah as Secretary to Cabinet and Head of Civil Service.
Other appointments include: Rtd. Brig. Gen. John Ade Oluwole Jah-Tucker, National Security Coordinator – Office of National Security (ONS), Ansumana Mohamed Idriss, Director General – Central Intelligence and Security Unit and Andrew Jaia KaiKai, Chief Immigration Officer (CIO).
Furthermore, President Bio appointed Mohamed Fuad Daboh, Director-General, National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT), Dr. Price Alex Harding, Chairman National Telecommunication Company, Dr. Foday Jaward, Executive Chairperson, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Umaru Napoleon Koroma, Chairman National Commission for Privatization (NCP) and Dr. Samuel Sangawulo Jibao, Commissioner General, National Revenue Authority (NRA).
Also appointed to other positions are: Dr. John Edward Tambi, Chairman, Presidential Infrastructure Initiative, Ibrahim Brima Swaray, Chief Executive, National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA), Joseph Simon Kapuwa, Director General, Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) and Abu Hindolo Moseray, Chairman, National Assets and Government’s Properties Commission (NAGPC).
It could be recalled that since he assumed office in April, President Bio has appointed full cabinet ministers and deputies, shakeup the composition of the civil service and will be announcing other appointments including heads of parastatals/agencies, Ambassadors and High Commissioners.
