As country’s political excitement hit up, Sierra Leone’s Attorney General, of course wannabe President seems be in serious trouble.
Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara also known as JFK, who no doubt holds confidential documents of the state recently had his email hacked as was yesterday confirmed by his Communication Team.
In a release put out by the JFK Strategic Media Team, it is stated that “the private email of email@example.com has been hacked by unknown criminals and folders and personal emails deleted.”
The release forewarned friends, relatives and the public ignore any correspondence purportedly coming from the Attorney General and Minister of Justice (or JFK) using the above mail.
Shortly after it became of public knowledge that the Attorney General and Minister of Justice email has been hacked, Sierra Leoneans have been left in worrisome state as they unavoidably solicit the question: “how safe and secured are confidential government documents which may have been in the hands of the Attorney General or other government Ministers, now that hackers have started targeting private emails of government officials.
Others blame political opponents, accusing them of deliberately targeting JFK because of his popularity and potential of becoming ruling APC’s next cardcarrier in the 2018 elections.
Meanwhile, report says JFK has recruited Cyber Security Experts to investigate the matter and of course bring culprit (s) to book.
The question now lingering in minds of many Sierra Leoneans is, “if the private mail of the Chief Law Enforcer can be hacked just like that, how safe are country’s confidential documents?”
