The ruling All People’s Congress Party yesterday launches its manifesto at the forecourt of Miata Conference Center in Freetown.
Osman Foday Yansanneh, secretary general of the APC said that ‘as a party, they are gathered to launch a manifesto which will consolidate the gains they have made in the last ten years of President Koroma’s Leadership.’
Alhaji Alpha Khanu, campaign spokesman APC, who also doubles as minister of information and communication mesmerizes the audience with his usual political oratory.
He said that as a party they will not reduce the education of children by removing SSS4 as according to him it will help make the children more mature for university education.
He said the APC has constructed roads, provided electricity and water for Sierra Leoneans as well as improving their social-economic livelihood.
Minkailu Mansaray, vice chairman who represented his chairman and leader President Koroma, gave the report card on successes of the APC in ten years of governance.
He claimed the party has provided more electricity and water for the people than it was ten years ago.
“We have provided more universities than ten years ago, more transparency, human rights and justice than ten years ago,” Minkailu said.
The programme was climaxed by the statement of the Presidential Candidate, Samura Mathew Wilson Kamara, who used the opportunity to launch the party’s manifesto which is titled: “Governance for the Grassroots.”
